Delivering Exceptional Products and Services to Every Customer, Every Time.

Entrepreneurial | Pursuing Excellence | Relationship-Driven | Diversified | Forward-Thinking

North Atlantic began when the Humphrey family purchased Horner Millwork in 1980 with the belief that a winning company is one that customers can easily do business with. With humble roots as an interior door prehanging shop in Somerset MA, North Atlantic has grown to become a multi-regional millwork, commercial openings, and appliance distributor in the Northeast and the South, catering to the one-step, two-step, and retail channels, and serving a residential and commercial customer base. Through its history, growth and success have been powered by a culture that’s committed to five principles:

Entrepreneurial: We are passionate about growth, and we are unafraid to address problems that we and our customers face to develop new features, products, and services.

In Pursuit of Excellence: We hold ourselves to extremely high standards when building products, providing expertise, meeting the service needs of customers, and implementing new programs and systems. We actively seek ways to bring our team to the next level through education and continuous improvement.

Relationship-Driven: As a family-owned and operated business, we value the relationships built with our fellow employees, suppliers, and customers. Teamwork is essential to our success, and we believe that the best partnerships with stakeholders are ones with collaboration, open communication, integrity, and mutually beneficial terms.

Diversified: We operate in a cyclical market, and our ability to remain consistently strong is attributable to our diversified approach. We are multi-regional. We are single family, multi family, and commercial. We are millwork, appliances, and commercial openings. We are a manufacturer and a distributor. We are retail, trade, wholesale, and contract.

Forward-Thinking: We are pragmatic innovators with a curious eye toward what’s next for our industry. We do not pursue innovation for innovation’s sake; rather, we develop technical competencies to incorporate proven, modern-day technologies into our business.
